EUCABO setzt Impulse für innereuropäischen Erdgashandel

Der grenz­über­schrei­tende Erdgas­handel für day-ahead-Kapazi­täten zwischen den Nieder­landen und Deutschland über die von Gas Transport Services B.V. (GTS) und BEB Transport GmbH (BEB) betriebene erste europäische Buchungs­plattform EUCABO hat Fahrt aufge­nommen. Von regel­mä­ßigen Aktivi­täten zahlreicher Kunden in den letzten Wochen berichten die Betreiber der Online-Plattform. Die tageweise kontra­hierten Kapazi­täten betreffen das H-Gassystem. "Der Markt hat EUCABO entdeckt", so die Einschätzung von GTS und BEB.

EUCABO steht für European Capacity Booking. Im Februar 2008 waren GTS und BEB mit ihrer neuen Plattform für die Buchung von kurzfris­tigen Grenz­über­gangs­ka­pa­zi­täten an den Markt gegangen. Hiermit ist es möglich, grenz­über­schrei­tende Trans­port­ka­pa­zi­täten in Oude Statenzijl, dem Kopplungs­spunkt der Netze von GTS und BEB, kombi­niert zu handeln. Dieser Service wird für hoch- und nieder­ka­lo­ri­sches Erdgas angeboten.

Mit EUCABO erfüllen beide Unter­nehmen den Wunsch ihrer Kunden, flexibel und kurzfristig auf Anfor­de­rungen aus dem Markt reagieren zu können. Die Nutzung von EUCABO steht allen für die Buchungs­systeme von GTS und BEB regis­trierten und zugelas­senen Markt­teil­nehmern offen.

EUCABO gives impetus to internal European gas trade

Cross-border natural gas capacity trading on daily basis between The Nether­lands and Germany via EUCABO has gained momentum. EUCABO (European Capacity Booking) is the first European booking platform for the combined sales for day-ahead trans­mission. It is a joint initiative of trans­mission system operators Gas Transport Services B.V. (GTS), a subsi­diary company of Gasunie, and BEB Transport GmbH (BEB). As both companies report, there have been conti­nuous activities of several customers during the last weeks. Contracting of signi­ficant amounts exclu­sively took place in the high calorific gas system. Both GTS and BEB comment on this recent development: "The market has disco­vered EUCABO".

As of February 2008 GTS and BEB launched the new booking platform for short term cross-border capacities. EUCABO enables contracting of cross-border trans­mission capacity at the inter­connection points between BEB and GTS at Oude Statenzijl. This service is available for both high and low calorific gas.

With EUCABO GTS and BEB meet the demand of shippers for flexible and short term access to cross-border trans­mission capacity. The appli­cation EUCABO is acces­sible for regis­tered market parties for the systems of GTS and / or BEB.
